Momentive’s Silquest® and CoatOSil® additive portfolio provide a broad range of products to address a large range of performance needs in the coatings industry. Momentive tailors the structure of each molecule in their formulas, and these additives in turn can be used in a number of ways. As adhesion promoters these performance additives have the unique ability to bond organic materials to inorganic materials. As a crosslinker, they have become the standard in the manufacture of thermoplastics where they promote the cross-linking of polyolefins. They can also be used to enable the practical crosslinking of water based coatings and adhesives.
